Cleartrip, one of India’s largest travel aggregator brands, aimed to run an engaging hyperlocal campaign during their biggest travel sale, The Big Billion Days, across India. The goal was to connect with the audience using precise location-specific messaging and promote domestic & international travel. Cleartrip sought a technology and media partner to achieve scale, precision, and a short turnaround time for hyper-local personalized ads in this campaign.
Solution
DeltaX supported the creative setup, execution, and optimization of the campaign at scale using DeltaX DCO, a powerful creative engine that builds and launches personalized ads in real time. The hyperlocal campaign featured 12-second personalized video ads based on users’ locations across five themes (pubs, restaurants, cafes, malls, and famous places) in 11 cities. The creative concept prompted users to book their next vacation with Cleartrip’s offers instead of frequenting local spots. DeltaX Studio enabled the creation of video iterations for large-scale personalization.
More than 3,000 personalized ads were generated across 1,500+ locations, linking users’ locations and the text overlay on the creative. Users visiting pubs, restaurants, cafes, malls, and famous places in India were targeted with Cleartrip ads, highlighting their location and activity, and redirecting them to Cleartrip’s website to book their next vacation. The relevance of the messaging based on users’ locations and activities drove engagement and purchase intent.
Results
Leveraging deep cross-channel integrations and large-scale hyperlocal campaign expertise, DeltaX facilitated the setup, launch, and asset scale-up in just two weeks. The creative studio generated over 3,000+ personalized ad variants, enhancing brand lift by +2.8 pts for users preferring Cleartrip to book their next vacation. The campaign achieved a 2.16% CTR, exceeding the benchmark considerably and reaching 12.3 million users.
